Changing fashion trends have significantly transformed the Saree Blouse. What used to be a simple piece of garment with basic necklines and plain sleeves once upon a time, has become an uber-stylish Designer Wear that decides the entire look of the ensemble. While the regular Saree Blouse still continues to be the most popular Casual Wear Saree Blouse amongst women from every strata of society mainly because of its plain and non-fussy design along with comfort, it becomes imperative to pair a Saree with Designer Blouse when attending parties, social gatherings or other glamorous events. Sheer Pallu Sarees

Sheer Pallu Sarees

The latest trend in the world of Sarees, that of wispy and diaphanous Pallu, happens to be an alluring one. Sheer Pallu Sarees are the best alternative to complete sheer Sarees which many women are skeptical about adding to their collection of Sarees, mainly due to its transparency and durability. Keeping in mind the popularity of this trend, Cbazaar offers an amazing selection of Designer sheer Pallu Sarees.

Gorgeous Sheer Pallu Saree

Gorgeous Sheer Pallu Saree

This trend of sheer Pallu is often found in georgette Sarees, shimmer georgette Sarees, brasso Sarees, chiffon Sarees or viscose Sarees. With diaphanous net or glass tissue Pallu measuring upto1 ½ – 2 meters in length, it is made extremely gorgeous thanks to ornate embellished decorative pattern or motifs with sequins, beads, kundans, zari or resham embroidery. A gorgeous pallu results in the Saree being comparatively simple except for maybe an attractive border, sequins buttis or simple embroidered motifs. The self Zari woven buttas or motifs of a viscose Saree save the need for further embellishments making the Saree glamorous.

Sheer Pallus are either of net or glass tissue, with net being little more transparent than glass tissue. Apart from being sensuous and alluring, net Pallus are also quite easy and convenient to drape and manage, while glass tissue Pallus aren’t that easy as net Pallus when it comes to draping but they tend to be more glamorous thanks to its inherent luster of the fabric.

Vidya Balan yet again in Sabyasachi’s subtle designer wear!

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

I just cannot resist myself from talking about Vidya’s new craze, though I have talked about it before also. You know what, she is all for Sabyasachi couture these days. After Anarkali churidar, its saree time for her I guess.

The other day I got this wonderful opportunity to see her at the inauguration of INLAKS General Hospital’s ICU ward in Chembur. Trust me guys, she was looking just stunning in her Sabysachi trademark saree and blouse!

Displaying a simple and carefree Indian Nari look, she wore a black chiffon saree with dusky embellishments which dominated the beauty of the saree. The saree as I mentioned was simple but carried that charm with its simplicity. What else, she wore a green blouse with a zari border on its elbow-cut sleeves. Ya, she proved it black can just look good with any color. The only accessory that she wore with her attire was the beaded bangle, which was according was not even noticeable with her stunning saree.

I must say I really love the Sabyasachi designs to its core. He brings that contemporary and stylish look in a subtle way. If given a chance I would love to grab some from his collection. Hope this New Year gives me that opportunity!

Vidya Balan goes Sabyasachi after Paa …

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

Leaving her anarkali fad behind, lately, Vidya Balan is seen boasting her Sabyasachi collection. Probably, the change is due to the Paa effect. Yes, in Paa, Vidya was seen in her earthy self in simple and charming cotton sarees designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee, who is known for giving traditional touch to his collections. Her attire was really apt for her simple middle-class character. The only glamour quotient was the styling of her blouses. Her blouses in the movie were worth noticing, which for a change, had long sleeves extending till the elbow. Here again, Sabyasachi didn’t forget the retro touch. He experimented a lot with the cuts of the blouses, which made the necessary fashion statement.

Even at the Premiere of the film Paa, both Vidya and Aishwarya Rai preferred wearing Sabyasachi. But Vidya gave a more traditional look with pulled back hair and mogra in the hair, while Aishwarya went for a sexier look by way of a lace sari and red lips.

Undoubtedly, Vidya Balan always looks the best in traditional outfit. Post the backlash of her fashion disasters which was much hyped in the media, Vidya Balan has stuck mostly to sarees and salwar churidars for any public function. And now with Sabyasachi adding that extra touch, Balan can perhaps put all those nasty comments behind her! Great going Vidya!

Guys, so what are your thoughts on Vidya Balan’s Sabyasachi look?

Sleeveless Blouse

For casual moments, stick to a simple blouse, with minimal embellishments, that is comfortable.

Halter Neck Blouse

Parties and social gatherings are perfect to flaunt fashionable and stylish blouses such as halter neck, bikini style, off-shoulder, etc., of course depending on your body type.

Embellished Blouse

When it comes to weddings or festive occasions, it’s a good idea to choose a blouse that is designed in a simple and traditional manner but which flaunts heavy embellishments.

For slim types short sleeves, puffed sleeves, ruffles, ruching and heavily embellished blouses look best.

Long Sleeves Blouse

For those who are on the plump side it’s best to stay away from a lot of embellishments or trimmings. Simple and clean cuts look best. As far as sleeves are concerned, 3/4th sleeves or long sleeves look extremely flattering.

A li’l something about the versatile blouse

Designer Blouse

Gone are those days when you could drape almost any saree with a plain white blouse or a plain black blouse. Except for a fashionable few, most of our Bollywood beauties of the bygone era stuck to a basic white or black blouse with a variety of saris. It would seem as if they were running short of blouses!

Can’t blame them either, as back then nobody was really ‘fashion conscious’. People didn’t pay much attention to their clothes such as saris, salwars and, least of all, blouses. Blouses were stitched in a basic pattern that featured short sleeves and a round cut at the back. Such was the time that any blouse could be paired with almost any sari. Shocking, but true!!

Now, of course, it’s quite different. Believe it or not, a blouse is paid more attention to than a sari. Rightfully so, since a blouse almost defines the entire look. Imagine a gorgeous sari with a terrible blouse, the sari would lose half of its charm. On the contrary, if a not-so-good sari is paired with an amazing blouse, it could actually work wonders!

The demand for well-tailored and stylish blouses is increasing with each passing day. Keeping that in mind, we have launched a range of amazing blouses that are wardrobe staples. Each blouse has been designed, keeping in mind the fact that it should be extremely versatile so as to be paired with most of the saris. Brocade has been used a lot, for the simple reason that it’s gorgeous and, of course, extremely versatile. Embellishments such as sequins, beads, zari, pita, stones, etc enhance the beauty of these blouses.

It would be quite wrong to pair all of these with a gorgeous saree, since the trick, here, is to create the right balance. Consider a gorgeous blouse with relatively simpler saris so as to make it more noticeable. A plain saree with an embellished border would complement it wonderfully. Saree with embroidered motifs would also look fabulous with it. It’s a good idea to steer clear of sarees that flaunt intricate embroidery throughout, when you think of a gorgeous blouse. At the same time, a heavily embroidered sari would look fabulous with an elegantly embroidered monotone blouse. When it comes to attractive patchwork blouses, you might wanna stick to minimally embellished monotone saris. Plain saris with appliqué work at the pallu would also look great. Every wardrobe should and must possess a black and a white embellished blouse. As archaic as it may sound, but the truth is that you simply can’t do without these two. And, neither could our leading ladies of those glorious years! Of course, embellishments give it a much more fashionable touch.

The blouses are designed keeping in mind the current fashion trends. Get smitten with our alluring halter-neck blouse or never-seen-before bolero style blouse.

Where there are just too many designer blouses for the slim types, there’s next to nothing for the rather healthy ones. Hence, they have no other option but to stick to the plain cut ones. Not anymore! We have some good news for the plump beauties out there. The same designer blouses are available in your sizes so that you, too, can jazz up your ensemble like your slim sisters. Start by checking out our plus size blouses.

Although it might be a bit challenging, but it’s loads of fun to play the mix ‘n match game with saris and blouses.
