How to ensure a hassle free delivery of the custom made Salwar Suit you ordered

Thursday, May 28th, 2009

Ø       The approximate date of delivery of the Salwar Suit would be given below the ADD TO CART button saying “Approx. Delivery Date”.

Ø       Please ensure that you submit your sizes while ordering the Salwar Suit in order to avoid delays caused while awaiting the submission of the measurements.

Ø   You may also choose to purchase your selected Salwar Suit as unstitched fabric, if you   require it sooner than the delivery date specified online. In that case, you can skip the measurement form by choosing the submitting by email option and mention SEND ME THE SUIT AS UNSTITCHED FABRIC along with the product code of the Salwar Suit clearly in the special instruction box of the order form. We would send it as unstitched fabric which would be shipped faster. Please note that the fabric metrics would be as per standard size and not all standard suit fabrics can accommodate large size or full sleeves.

Ø       Kindly double check your sizes before submitting them; it would avoid delays that are caused in getting the sizes clarified in case if the measurements you have submitted are incorrect.

Ø       If you are not sure of your measurements, you may choose a standard size.

Ø       There are no additional charges in stitching the Salwar Suit.

Ø       In case if we find your other non-vital measurements such as shoulders, arm hole, etc not appropriate based on your vitals such as bust, waist, hips, etc we would proceed with the appropriate measurements based on your vital measurements. For us to do so, you are requested to ACCEPT the NO APPROVAL REQUIRED POLICY by selecting the check box in the Shopping Bag page.

Ø       Certain outfits can only be stitched with specific design and neck styles. The bottom can be stitched in a certain style depending on the placement of the embroidered pattern. It takes a couple of days to take approvals for such clarifications and this, eventually, delays the processing of the order.  Hence, it’s always advisable to choose “as per image” for a quick processing of the order.

Ø       In the event that you require the outfit urgently and you have very less time left, we would have to adhere to a different set of policies which would include certain changes made without prior approvals in case of larger sizes, etc. If such changes are acceptable by you, then kindly ACCEPT the NO APPROVAL REQUIRED POLICY by selecting the check box in the Shopping Bag page. This would enable us to stitch the Salwar Suits faster and ship it to you. This, again, entirely depends on the product chosen.

Ø       Please ensure that you check your email regularly, as important clarifications are sent to you through email.  Kindly double check the phone numbers provided.

Ø       Please note that quite a few ethnic products are handmade, hand dyed and hand embroidered. Thus, it is not always possible for any product to be identically similar to each other. There may be slight variations.

Eternally Popular Salwar Kameez

salwar kameez

salwar kameez

Probably the most comfortable of all outfits, the salwar kameez or shalwar kameez is one of the most widely worn outfits today. It originated in the North but has spread its fame throughout. Not just by women, it is also worn by men, although there is a difference between both the outfits. The basic difference being, women include a dupatta in their outfit while men do not. The outfit includes a salwar which resembles a loose trouser along with a kameez that resembles a long tunic with long slits at the side. The slits enable easy and free movement. Women make this outfit attractive with their lovely dupattas. Churidar kurta or churidar kameez are a tighter version of salwar kameez which look quite smart but are not as comfortable as salwar suits. Trouser suits are a fashionable version of salwar suits. It is advisable to make a salwar out of a fabric that drapes beautifully. The salwar features drawstring around the waist that enables the gathering of the fabric thereby creating subtle ‘pleats’ or ‘folds’. These ‘folds’ appear much better if the fabric used is ‘drape-friendly’ rather than a ‘stiff’ fabric. There are versions of the salwar such as Patiala salwar and semi-Patiala salwar. While the Patiala salwar is stitched with numerous pleats for a heavily-pleated look, the semi-Patiala includes fewer pleats. The style and cut of the kurta or kameez varies thanks to the ever-changing fashion tastes. To begin with short kameezwas usually worn with a salwar. Then came the era of rather long kameez that ended few inches below the knee Recently, we again went back to short kurtas. As usual, Bollywood had a major role in determining the style of salwar kameez. Post ‘Bunty Aur Babli’, kurtas with collars became a rage and the streets were full of young college girls sporting loose salwars with collar kurtas in rather loud colors. ‘Laga Chunari Me Daag’ also established the popularity of Patiala salwars with short kurtas. Kareena Kapoor’s fusion look in ‘Jab We Met’ was a craze for sometime. Teaming the loose salwar with a long T-shirt or even with spaghetti, sans dupatta, became the new style statement. It is advisable to style your kameez or kurta keeping in mind your height. If you are the tall and lean type, stick to short kurtasthat end few inches above the knee or on the knee. If height isn’t one of your biggest assets, it’s better if you opt for the longer version of kurta , as the length of the kurta adds the illusion of height. No matter what changes or variations it goes through, you can be sure that this outfit would never lose its popularity. Fabric is not a problem with this outfit as it looks good when made out of any fabric. Cottonwould be the first choice when it comes to comfort. Silk, silk blended cotton and georgette< would be advisable if you desire something fancy and gorgeous. Embellishments make this outfit truly gorgeous and suitable for any formal occasion.

Party Wear
Party Wear

If you think being a kid is easy, think again!! All those subjects at school with the additional burden of homework and of course, not to forget those extra-curricular activities. And to top it all, they are expected to be well dressed for any occasion when kids wear is one of the most ignored areas in the fashion world. Gone are those when the kids could wear almost anything and walk out. Believe it or not, times are such that a family’s status is sometimes also defined by what the kid wears. Crazy, but true!! And it mostly occurs at parties and other social dos. Of course, the prime object of scrutiny would be what the parents wear, but immediately after that, it would be the kids.
It’s pretty important in another way too, as what your kid wears is actually a reflection of your taste. Kids are too young to know anything about fashion, though nowadays you cannot underestimate them. Ultimately they wear what you threaten them to wear. Therefore, also keep in mind that it doesn’t become a threat to your status in the society.
Everyone likes to dress up, be it a kid or an old person. Everyone likes to look good. With kids you have more options as you could make them wear almost any color. Even those that you would dread thinking about, when it comes to you. The key word is bright. Kids can carry off the brightest of colors. It’s the age. Years later if spotted in the same color, it would be a fashion faux pas. Frocks are an all-time favorite when it comes to girls. Check out these frocks with bolero for that fashionable touch-
