Bollywood’s eternal pair once again together …

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

Natural is the first thought that comes to my mind when I see this not-so-gorgeous but highly vivacious actress of Bollywood. Did you guess whom I am talking about? Yes, the evergreen Simran of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenga (DDLG) – Kajol aka Mrs. Devgan!

It is really an immense feeling to get a chance to watch the eternal pair of DDLG – Raj (Sharukh Khan) and Simran (Kajol) – together once again in the new upcoming movie My Name is Khan. Recently, this gorgeous on-screen pair was spotted promoting their much-awaited new movie. And trust me, they were together looking just made for each other – Sorry Gauri and Ajay, I know you wouldn’t like to hear such a comment about your betterhalf but I am just so helpless!

Anyway, it was really a treat to watch Kajol and Sharukh in a blend of sizzling black and red formal wear. It looked as if they had decided to wear matching color! Sharukh khan as usual looked his best in his formal attire and Kajol was just stunning in her rich black saree. She didn’t wear anything out-of-the-world but again her simplicity and charm made her look angelic. She wore a black saree featuring self-woven horizontal stripes blending exotically with the red velvet panel along the borders. The pallu corner of the saree included decorative latkans.  Except for a decorative long earring, she didn’t wear any jewelry but still looked just-so-perfect.

Without doubt, Kajol has proved once again perfect figure, perfect beauty is not the essence always! Agree Guys?

Black Saree

Black Saree

Fashionistas swear by the color black. And so does everyone else. It’s a universal favorite. It’s the ultimate. It’s not for nothing that the rule of thumb, when in doubt, wear black, was invented. This color exudes sensuality, mystery, power and also elegance. Deemed as a formal color, it denotes authority and strength also. The popularity of le noir was elevated to another level thanks to the Little Black Dress (fashionably known as the LBD) made popular by Coco Chanel, which Audrey Hepburn epitomized in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

Similar to the LBD, the black saree can also be considered as a fashion staple. Just as no wardrobe is ever complete without the little black dress, the absence of the black saree also makes a wardrobe incomplete. The black saree is a great option for the Indian woman as black is a slimming color and to add to that saree is a slimming outfit. Mais oui, you can’t expect to make a style statement draped in six yards of plain fabric. When it comes to monochrome, you need to play with surfaces and textures to achieve that panache. Embellishments with black sequins, black beads, black bugle beads, etc give it that shimmer and shine that break the monotony of black.

Our section Black Couture http://www.homeindia.com/fashion/Product.asp?ctgintid=789 is a good place to start hunting for that quintessential black saree. We offer an exquisite range including a lot of variety. Classic blacks, which do not possess the touch of any other color but rich embellishments with black sequins and beads imparts a killing look. You will love the way it shines and shimmers.
