The highly anticipated ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ produced by Fox Star Studios and Dharma Productions, is Karan Johar’s new film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan releasing on the 28th October. The only songs released so far were the title track ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, ‘Bulleya’ and ‘Channa Mereya’, but after being teased for quite some time, fans finally got to listen to the much awaited ‘ The Breakup Song ’. The video for the song features Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma who are presumably two best friends celebrating their respective breakups.
The groovy tune composed by Pritam features lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya along with singers Arijit Singh, Jonita Gandhi, Nakash Aziz and rapper extraordinaire Badshah who’s rapping skills really give the song a new dimension, despite its general reminiscence of Johar’s previous hit, ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ also featuring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role.
The song showcases how breaking up isn’t just about a general sense of sulking and sadness but also about what a joyous process leading to new beginnings it can be. The stars even tweeted promotions for the song, with the caption – “Celebrating break up is the new cool”. The song slated to become a ‘breakup anthem’ is one compelling dance number that forces you to put your dancing shoes on.
Well, this break-up song has no tears, no drama, no heartbreak, but only crazy dance, lots of decent bling and fabulous outfits. The most intriguing thing about the song is Anushka’s outfit. She is seen grooving in a long red kurta which she has paired with ripped jeans. Come to think of it, who knew a fusion of downright desi and hippy west could be so cool. She has tried something very different and very daring and has totally nailed it. This is surely going to start a new trend amongst the fashionistas. What do you think?
